I'm working on an old gated leg table and it looks to be either walnut or mahogany. Table was either painted black a long time ago or came this way but I'm in the middle of stripping the top and ran into this problem. The paint is well into the grain and is not coming clean. I have a picture of the table top and it looks awful. Any body have a magic potion out there that can help me? How do I calculate the length of drawer glides needed for a drawer.I just finished a Wenge bowl and want to finish it. My problem is I can not remember if Wenge is one of the wood that is too heavy in oils to use poly on it. If not which of the other finishes will work best for a high gloss shine.Wiki is a user-created online encyclopedia.
