Removing paint from a wooden train

I bought an unfinished train from your group at the Ft. Bliss Craft Fair last Novemeber and I started painting the train. I have now decided to stain the train instead. Can you give me some instruction as to how to take the paint off?
Thanks,

Ms. Albert,
The short answer is: use a paint remover, scrape it, or sand it. But to really give you a proper answer, please bring the train to the Club located at 3228 Sacramento. Hours of operation are 8 am - 12 noon Tues thru Sat and 5:30 - 9 pm Mon and Wed evening. After seeing what you did, type paint used, etc., we can better advise you on the removal of the paint.
